Old and new wedding traditions
Weddings are a delicate balance between what’s trendy, what’s traditional and – whatever the bride wants!
A new poll asked people who had recently attended a wedding or recently got married which traditions are outdated and which are now “in”. As someone who never wanted to get married, number one for me would be: DON’T!
Ancient customs that are OUT include:
The bride not being seen before the wedding
The bride’s parents pay for the wedding
The groom’s guests seated on either side
Walk down the aisle for “There’s the Bride”
Something old, new, borrowed and blue
More Chicken Dance – wait, WHAT???
New releases that are IN right now include:
Small weddings or simply elopement
wedding websites
Bright and vibrant colors
Proposal Videos
Alternative Rings »
Non-white wedding dresses
Gender-neutral wedding parties
Have more than one bridesmaid and best man
The survey also showed that the perfect number of wedding guests is exactly – 115. (chancely your drunken uncle arrived at #116)
And just for fun – Carla’s wedding playlist:
Another one biting the dust
love stinks
You are so vain
Highway to Hell
To help!
That doesn’t impress me much
It’s the end of the world as we know it
Bad Romance
Before he cheats
It is a mistake
I still haven’t found what I’m looking for
While having fun, while having fun!
