Lucy in Disguise with Diamonds opened in 1984 and is owned by Jenna Radtke. Radtke plans to sell the building, said Jerry Durham, the store’s manager and buyer.
“For us, we just felt it was time. The street has changed a lot,” Durham said.
The decision to close was made due to a combination of factors: parking availability, plans for South Congress Avenue and loss of vendors during the coronavirus pandemic, Durham said.
“It’s sad, but we’re so proud that we’ve been able to stay open for as long as we have,” Durham said.
