Meghan designer reflects on ‘secret dress’

Clare Waight Keller gave a really big behind-the-scenes look at helping design Meghan’s dream wedding dress. She posted a series of photos from Harry and Meghan’s wedding to show the sleek and glamorous dress from different angles and included comments on how the dress came to life from the Meghan concept.
“The Royal Wedding Dress – Two years ago today I was in the final fittings of a top secret dress,” Waight Keller noted in the caption. “So many emotions ran through me in the months leading up to the big day.”
She continued, “A wedding dress is one of the most exquisite and beautiful moments for a designer, but also personally as a woman artist, designer, there is a lot of sensitivity that comes from the process of knowing. and understanding the feelings you have as a bride. How Meghan’s dress designer captured her dreams
Waight Keller also explained how a wedding dress is more than a fashion statement – and explained that there is a “relationship of trust and intimacy” to working with a bride-to-be to make her vision a reality. .

The designer and Meghan worked together to ensure that the design and theme that was important to Meghan was included. “Over the hours of conversation, meeting, and researching, all of the pieces of this story slowly came together,” noted Waight Keller.
Meghan’s vision involved the concept of ‘timeless beauty’ which was so important to the future Duchess. “Purity and simplicity were the guiding principles, a tale of nature through the 53 Commonwealth Flowers to bring the world on the ceremonial journey and the subtlety bringing the Givenchy lines and the House’s history to capture timeless classic beauty I knew she wanted to achieve, ”explained the dress designer.
