September 20, 2019 – Hunić Design Sisters, a Croatian fashion brand known for combining the beauty of traditional dresses with contemporary feminine styles, presented their new spring-summer collection in Milan.
The fashion show took place at Palazzo Bocconi, on the occasion of “Event SAVÓ presents the opening of Milan Fashion Week” on Monday September 16, one day before the official start of the famous Milan clothing fair. .
The Hunić Design Sisters have been featured in a series of mini-shows with 10 other emerging international brands.
For decades, the Hunić family has been making Croatian folk costumes. The story of Hunić Design Sisters began in 2012 when sisters Diana and Adrijana Hunić decided to create their own fashion brand inspired by traditional Croatian designs and materials.
One of their bestsellers is a dress using the famous estine scarf (šestinska marama), a red scarf with a delicate floral pattern that was traditionally worn by married women on the top of their heads. It is the first dress in Croatia inspired by the traditional estine scarf.
