Finding the perfect wedding dress is a priority for any bride dreaming of her ideal wedding day, and given the variety of shapes, colors and styles, it’s never an easy decision.

In a Reddit post at “Wedding Shaming” subreddita person shared a screenshot of a wedding dress shopping review on Facebook from May 2021, they came across where the woman shared how she bought six dresses but thinks she has found “the right one” (in terms of dress).
The woman revealed that she was always on a “manhunt or womanhunt” for her potential spouse.
“Wow! I ordered 6 wedding dresses and this was the one,” the post read. “Except no one has asked me to marry them yet! But now I’m ready for when it happens!”
“It’s stretchy and the perfect length. I’m 5ft 6 1/2. I love this dress. I have a 34D chest and wear size 6 pants.

(So, given that response, it was no surprise that the review was called “cringe”).
One person said: “It’s sad that there are women who want to find a spouse to do a ceremony and not the other way around. I say women because it’s more common among women, for sad cultural reasons i guess
“This is the perfect example of people who just want a wedding, not a wedding,” another person wrote.
Someone else added: “I’m pretty sure anyone who does this won’t use the dress. Even when/if they find someone they’re ready to marry (who’s ready to marry them) , fashion will have changed.”
“Maybe she can order 6 [people] then pick one to get married,” a fourth person joked.
Although some people thought it was okay to shop for a wedding dress before being asked the big question from your significant other – especially if someone is looking for a non-traditional dress for their upcoming big day.
One person noted, “Deliberately ordering multiple wedding dresses before you need one is weird, but in the event that someone happens to find the perfect one while they’re (regularly) clothing shopping/ thrift stores, I don’t see a problem buying it properly then and having it just in case.”
“Yeah, like…I understand that person probably has really unrealistic expectations and that’s the real issue at stake,” another person conceded before explaining why they’re not against the idea of buy a wedding dress in advance.
“But assuming you know you want a non-traditional wedding — I don’t hate the idea of buying a dress when she comes in with the attitude that it might work, it might not work. Especially if you can give you something nice.”
At least if anyone asks this woman, she’s more than prepared for the big day in the wardrobe department.
