CARRIE Symonds bonded with Boris Johnson in a secret ceremony this weekend, and her pulling power seems to extend beyond her new husband.
The beautiful bride was stunned in a £ 2,900 bohemian gown by fashion designer Christos Costarellos, which she rented for under £ 45 – and it caused a 268% increase in rental wedding dresses.

The PM, 56, and his 33-year-old wife celebrated their top-secret wedding at Westminster Cathedral on Saturday.
The couple welcomed a son together last year and Boris asked the question at the end of 2019, but put his wedding plans on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The holiday wedding wasn’t the only one wasn’t the only surprise, with Carrie opting to rent out her embroidered and appliquéd tulle wedding dress.
HURR, the leading European fashion rental site, which launched Bridal HURR last year saw a more than 268% increase in bridal rentals over the weekend, with some brides booking until fall 2022.

Co-Founder Victoria Prew commented: âWe have seen a constant + growing interest in the bride, but web traffic and bookings accelerate dramatically over the bank holiday weekend.
“As a great time for planning, the long weekend gave brides the opportunity to plan for a more sustainable wedding dress option.”
Carrie’s dress was a handmade dress with layers of vaporous ivory tulle spun with lots of silk.
Lattice edging and hand-cut âKopaneliâ cord lace appliqués, the designer’s signature, also enhanced the look.
The dress was made with a “woman who isn’t afraid to shine” in mind, according to the website’s description.
Just a day after the ceremony, the dress is already sold out on both Modesens and Net to wear.

Public relations guru Carrie, who is Boris’ third wife, chose not to wear a veil and chose a bohemian flower garland, perfect for a summer wedding in the heat of the holidays.
The historic wedding took place in the tiny Lady of Westminster Chapel at 2 p.m., in front of the couple’s one-year-old son Wilfred, and made Boris the first prime minister to marry while in office in 199 years.
No10 confirmed: âThe Prime Minister and Mrs Symonds were married yesterday afternoon [Saturday] during a small ceremony at Westminster Cathedral.

“The couple will celebrate their wedding with family and friends next summer.”
The event had been scheduled for six months, but fewer than 30 guests were invited, including Boris’ father, Stanley, and his sister Julia.
They were all briefed at the last minute and even No. 10’s senior advisers were kept in the dark.
The reception was held at their Downing Street home, where a marquee was erected in the garden and guests were heard singing American Pie.
The ceremony was performed by Father Daniel Humphreys, who baptized baby Wilfred last year.
Previously a mum shared how she rents out her children’s clothes to save £ 2,000 a year and it only costs me £ 17.50 a month.
And now you can rent expensive designer wedding dresses for as little as £ 15 for your big day.
